Culture and design: Hand in hand

The hand is the central symbol of Nový Jičín's visual identity, and we've embraced it too. Our focus wasn't on redesigning the city's entire look, but on enhancing the visual identity of its cultural part – making it more playful, relaxed and cheerful.

Nový Jičín is packed with cultural events at various venues, ranging from the club and library to the cinema and exhibition hall. Therefore, the new style must be applicable on multiple levels.

Our symphony? A template system

Current posters or invitations lack a cohesive system and are not uniform. Thus, inspired by the city's visual identity, we composed a system that can be endlessly repeated. Yet it remains playful.

We added a wide palette of colors, played with typography and composition, and created an artistic experience that clearly shows what the residents of Nový Jičín can look forward to.

A unified perception of culture

In music or poetry, everyone can find something personal. Meanwhile, the new visual identity of the city's cultural part is clear and unmistakable to all. We've built on the existing design to make it even more distinct, while still reflecting the city's rich cultural offerings.
